About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Inclusion and Diversity Leader to join our team in Americas. As a key member of our Global Inclusion and Diversity team, you will be responsible for executing our I&D strategy within the Americas region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to ensure they are executing activities in alignment with our overall I&D strategy.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and key resource for advice, consultation, and execution of initiatives related to diversity, inclusiveness, belonging, and equity across Americas.
- Be a central point of contact for key stakeholders regarding I&D for the Americas and work closely with the Global I&D Leader to ensure greater consistency and sharing of best practices across the enterprise.
- Organize and lead the Americas I&D Committee and support the Global I&D Council reps in any local efforts required.
- Develop and design I&D learning and programs as necessary.
- Serve as a diversity liaison for compliance-related projects and reports.
- Represent GHD as the subject matter expert on diversity, inclusiveness, belonging, and equity within and outside the firm.
- Identify and consult with relevant stakeholders on external strategic sponsorships/partnerships and thought leadership opportunities.
- Monitor performance metrics and keep the Global I&D Leader, Americas I&D Committee, and Americas leadership informed of progress and challenge the status quo.
- Work with people and management teams to identify I&D needs in accordance with the organization's strategic and operational plans.
- Implement global I&D processes and practices as well as support localized strategies and initiatives in Americas to drive best practices across the business.
- Ensure Self I&D completion rates are tracking positively and aggregate data is available, accurate, understood, and used to improve all aspects of the talent lifecycle and the business across Americas.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Advanced degree a plus.
- Proven expertise in leading successful diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in a fast-paced matrixed global organization.
- Knowledge of external best practices in the area of diversity, equity, inclusion, and/or social justice.
- A consulting and data-driven mindset with the ability to balance regional and global needs and to influence and collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders.
- Experience working with ERGs and across various dimensions of diversity.
- Ability to prepare and facilitate senior-level discussions related to highly sensitive topics to achieve progress and gain support and buy-in.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to influence and display empathy.
- A passion for and experience in improving key metrics related to inclusion and diversity.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in understanding different cultures and work environments.
- Experience working virtually and across various time zones when required to meet project/team needs.
