Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our pediatric care team, you will be responsible for assessing and providing consultation, recommendations, and interventions to a diverse group of pediatric clients in their homes and/or schools. You will work collaboratively with the client care team to ensure coordinated delivery of care and promote VHA's core beliefs and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and implement occupational therapy interventions in accordance with professional practice guidelines and standards established by VHA and the relevant regulatory college.
  • Implement client interventions based on assessment information, client input, and in conjunction with the client's integrated care plan.
  • Ensure that services provided are best practice, evidence-based, and evaluated through the routine use of valid and reliable outcome measures.
  • Ensure coordinated delivery of care through ongoing communication with all members of the client's team regarding plans and schedules for interventions.
  • Document all assessment findings, treatment plans, progress, and discharge summaries of interventions as required by the profession, referral source, and the organization.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized school of Occupational Therapy.
  • Member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Valid Driver's License with access to a vehicle.
  • Compassionate and empathetic.
  • Self-driven with ability to work independently.
  • Skilled in caseload management.
  • Skilled at electronic documentation.
  • Able to provide virtual care.
