About the Role

Crown Floors Decor is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Costing
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
    • Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project requirements
  • Pre-qualification and Tendering
    • Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present to clients
    • Assist in the tendering process, including the preparation of bid documents and quotes
  • Project Management
    • Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate estimates and project timelines
    • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure project profitability
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates and project requirements
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project success
Requirements
  • Education
    • College or CEGEP diploma in a related field
  • Experience
    • 2-3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
