Program Director, Learning Support Services

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of General Manager, Learning Support Services at our esteemed organization.
This leadership position involves developing and directing the delivery of inclusive and culturally responsive services and programs required for students with special education needs.
Main responsibilities include:
- Supervising support staff managers and staff within psychology/behaviour analysts, speech/language pathology/occupational therapy, and social work services.
- Overseeing coordination of Specialized Program Classes, including pupil accommodation, quality program indicators, service delivery model review, and reporting.
- Collaborating with Employee Services, Facilities Department, and Planning Department to support budget processes and preparing reports on specialized program class staffing.
- Managing departmental priorities such as IEP Online (IOL), Summer Learning Program for Students with ASD/DD, Health and Medical services, Program Evaluation, and Policy development/review.
- Working with other departments to oversee Transportation for students with special education needs.
- Leading the Early Learning Team to ensure appropriate programming across the district.
- A Master's degree or higher in a regulated health profession and 7 years of experience in special education within an educational setting.
- Proven management skills, including supervising, coordinating work, evaluating staff, programs/services, and demonstrating strong leadership for mentoring, coaching, training, and motivating teams.
- Excellent communication skills for responding, clarifying, or requesting information from others and establishing effective working relationships.
- Strong writing skills for developing reports, correspondence, or presentations.
- A high degree of discretion due to confidentiality of student information and data.
- Organizational skills for planning and juggling multiple priorities/projects to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency using computer technology for accomplishing work.
Our organization offers a competitive salary range of $145,941 to $171,825 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
