Artificial Intelligence Program Director

The National Research Council Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Artificial Intelligence Program Director to lead its innovative initiatives.
Job DescriptionThis challenging role involves overseeing the development of strategic program plans, establishing partnerships with the AI community, and managing projects within a complex environment. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth experience in AI technologies, excellent leadership skills, and a strong understanding of the Canadian and international AI landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Program Management:
- Developing and implementing strategic program plans and metrics for innovation.
- Liaising with stakeholders, including industry partners and researchers.
- Leading multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment.
- AI Expertise:
- Staying current on AI trends, issues, and emerging technologies.
- Establishing and managing partnerships with the AI community.
- Providing technical guidance and support to project teams.
- Communication and Business Acumen:
- Designing and delivering impactful presentations to various audiences.
- Providing strategic advice to senior executives.
- Maintaining a deep understanding of industry sectors, including manufacturing, clean tech, and agriculture/food security.
To be successful in this role, you must have a graduate degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. You should also possess significant experience in program management, AI, and business development, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
What We Offer- A competitive salary range of $150,435 to $180,450 per annum.
