We are seeking a highly skilled Dining Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our food service department.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year

Job Description:

The Dining Operations Manager will supervise and coordinate the activities of food preparation staff, train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and deadlines.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality dishes.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory levels.
  • Hire and manage food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates, monitoring expenses and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, resolving issues to their satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, using data to inform decision-making.
  • Prepare and submit reports on operational performance, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Communicate with the chef to prepare food order summaries and establish work schedules.

Requirements:

To succeed as our Dining Operations Manager, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in food service management or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with the ability to implement and maintain a safe working environment.

What We Offer:
