Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

Crestline Coach Ltd is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead and participate in safety improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Analyze safety performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels.
  • Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal safety regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Prepare and submit required safety reports and documentation.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and ensure timely reporting and resolution of any compliance issues.
  • Promote a culture of safety through effective communication and engagement with employees.
  • Serve as a safety champion and role model within the organization.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate safety into all aspects of operations.
Qualifications:
  • A degree or certification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience and knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OHSAS 18001 would be considered an asset.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
  • Knowledge of safety systems (OH&C Level 1 & 2) is an asset.
  • Experience in Risk Management and project management is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence others in a positive manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships and function as a team member.
