Patient Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Safety Specialist to join our team at Health Careers in Sask. As a key member of our Quality and Safety department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and analyze safety events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address safety concerns, and provide education and training on clinical safety practices.
- Manage and maintain the AEMS safety reporting system and critical incident database.
- Support the development of the Safety Alert System processes and database.
- Experience working in a healthcare facility, preferably in a quality and safety role.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Undergraduate degree in a health-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
