Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Safety Specialist to join our team at Health Careers in Sask. As a key member of our Quality and Safety department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and analyze safety events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address safety concerns, and provide education and training on clinical safety practices.
  • Manage and maintain the AEMS safety reporting system and critical incident database.
  • Support the development of the Safety Alert System processes and database.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a healthcare facility, preferably in a quality and safety role.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Undergraduate degree in a health-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
