Ambitious Growth Plans in the Americas

To support its expansion in the Americas, SimCorp is seeking a highly experienced Director of External Communications to join its global team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in public relations, media relations, and corporate communications.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Craft and execute comprehensive communications plans that align with the company's goals and enhance its public image.
  2. Public Relations: Manage public relations efforts, including press releases, media briefings, and coverage analyses.
  3. Content Creation: Oversee the creation of high-quality content for press releases, articles, speeches, podcasts, interviews, and other external communications materials.
  4. Brand Management: Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all external communications channels.
  5. Crisis Communication: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to manage and mitigate potential public relations issues.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, executives, and industry influencers, to foster positive relationships.
  7. Team Collaboration: Develop strong relationships across the communications and marketing teams to build and execute external communications programs that articulate and support SimCorp's vision, values, business strategy, and value proposition.

Requirements

  1. 10+ years of experience in external communications or related fields.
  2. Proven track record in communication strategies.
  3. Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  4. Experience in crisis communications.
  5. Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
  6. Strong leadership and project management skills.
  7. Proficiency in communication tools and platforms.
  8. Degree in marketing, corporate communications, public relations, business, media, or similar.
  9. Fluent English speaker.
  10. Willingness to work from our Toronto office 2-3 times a week as per our hybrid policy.

$120,000 - $150,000 per year

Estimated Salary Range: Based on market standards and the job requirements, we estimate the salary range for this position to be between $120,000 and $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
