As a key member of our team at NOW Health Group Canada/Puresource Natural Products Distributor, the Category Manager plays a pivotal role in driving sales and marketing objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of category trends, shopper behavior, and competitive landscapes to inform marketing initiatives and sales planning.
  • Lead assortment and planogram recommendations for priority categories, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Generate monthly category reviews, new product dashboards, and competitive insights, presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Support sales teams with strategic selling stories, highlighting key categories and segments.
  • Collaborate on new product launches, creating best-in-class retailer and trade-facing presentations, sell sheets, and in-store and digital support materials.
  • Assist with the development of new item launch and training materials, working closely with the Nutrition and Health Education Manager.
  • Recommend SKU assortment priorities per category, ensuring optimal product offerings.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver clear channel strategies and manage SKU rationalization and aging inventory.
  • Develop and execute strategic National Retail Promotional programs, driving business growth.
  • Prioritize customer support, managing strategic sales requests and providing retailer support for in-store displays, endcaps, and digital ecommerce initiatives.
  • Assist marketers with product knowledge and information, highlighting key selling points.
  • Support the Marketing team in B2B activities, including retailer communications, catalogue deals, and promotions.
  • Contribute to the annual business planning process, supporting marketing and sales planning activities with category insight data and competitive insights.
  • Analyze and recommend wholesale price changes for private brand products, ensuring market competitiveness and profitability targets.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, showcasing products and services.
