Internal Audit Assistant

The Métis Nation British Columbia is seeking a highly skilled Internal Audit Assistant to support the Internal Auditor in providing independent assurance that our risk management, governance, and internal controls are operating effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and financial procedures.
- Identify areas of improvement and recommend control enhancements.
- Safeguard the organization's assets and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems.
