Job Title: Medical Writer Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Writer Lead to join our team at Inizio Engage. As a Medical Writer Lead, you will be responsible for creating and reviewing medical content for patients, healthcare professionals, and payers to ensure scientific accuracy and impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and/or co-create medical content for various channels, including field medical slides and standard or complex medical information responses.
  • Provide medical review for scientific accuracy and input on the development/use of scientific and promotional materials.
  • Write, review, edit, and deliver medical content for training purposes.
  • Author and review US MI responses by identifying and summarizing complex scientific literature.
  • Plan and maintain a robust product response MI database.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Therapeutic Area and maintain in-depth product and therapeutic area knowledge.
  • Perform ongoing literature reviews and extract complex data from scientific literature.
  • Provide clinical guidance and medical information to assist the resolution of escalated medical and/or access inquiries.
  • Utilize internal scientific narratives and creative data visualization techniques to develop medical resources and tools.
  • Review complex and/or escalated MI cases.
  • Review derivative content and ensure alignment with MI responses and compliant with relevant review and approval processes.
  • Track recurring queries and identify the need for creation of new standard responses.
  • Provide relevant stakeholders with actionable insights and recommendations based on knowledge of product/therapeutic area.
  • Create and/or update reference materials and data on file summaries.
  • Contribute to departmental project/task assignments.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams.
  • Maintain a robust understanding of MI contact center processes and technology.
  • Leverage expertise to support the quality and training initiatives for team members in partnership with leadership and/or client, as appropriate.
  • Ensure that assigned projects are completed on schedule.

Requirements:
  • Advanced Clinical/Science Degree (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • 3 or more years of relevant medical communication experience.
  • 3 or more years of direct medical information and/or relevant medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry, a clinical setting, or equivalent background and experience.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and Office 365.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a group setting.
  • Results-oriented, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work cross-functionally.
