Job Description

The Global Immigration and Mobility Strategist will be responsible for executing Arc'teryx's global immigration, relocation, and mobility programs. This includes collaborating with external partners, new and prospective employees, and leadership to ensure seamless processes. The successful candidate will develop and maintain policies and procedures to facilitate smooth and efficient immigration and relocation processes, including visa applications, work permits, and employee support.

The strategist will also partner with Senior Leadership to provide strategic mobility solutions for the global workforce, overseeing concurrent immigration needs and PR applications in partnership with the Immigration council. Additionally, they will analyze data related to immigration and relocation activities to identify trends and improve processes, ensuring that all aspects of the programs are legally compliant and effectively managed.

The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience managing immigration and mobility programs for a global organization, with strong interpersonal skills, effective project management abilities, and excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. They must be able to remain objective, exercise good judgment, and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues.

In this role, you will lead training and education on new policies and legal deviations related to immigration and mobility, research creative solutions to minimize risk and expedite the immigration process, and manage the global immigration and mobility budget. You will also oversee reporting of immigration and mobility data, ensuring quick access to information and data for stakeholders who need it.

Responsibilities

Future Opportunities

The successful candidate will have opportunities to lead the RFP process for selecting new mobility vendors, redesign and implement a comprehensive global immigration and employee relocation framework, and partner with People & Culture Managers, Total Rewards, and Employee Experience teams to develop innovative programs that enable talent mobility globally.

You will also navigate complexities of local EMEA and APAC immigration policies and close coordination with regional legal experts. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying root causes of issues and developing solutions, as well as the ability to remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.

Requirements
  • 7-10 years' experience managing immigration and mobility programs for a global organization
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as HR, law)
