Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight Youth Care Worker to join our team at WJS Canada. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for children and youth in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children and youth in our care, including regular bed checks and providing night-time supports as required.
  • Assist with morning routines, including wake-up calls, breakfast preparation, and personal care assistance.
  • Provide transportation to school on school days, promoting a sense of routine and stability for our youth.
  • Model positive behaviors and values, serving as a role model for the children and youth in our care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment, contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.
  • Collaborate with other team members to plan and deliver culturally appropriate programs, services, and activities.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including log books, contact notes, and incident reports.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Child and Youth Work, preferably in a group home or community setting.
  • Experience working with Indigenous children and youth is an asset.
  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Work, or a related field.
  • First Aid/CPR certification and training in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and medication administration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adhering to WJS Canada's policies and procedures.
  • Valid driver's license with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
