Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team at AMA - Alberta Motor Association.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position based in Edmonton or Calgary with a mix of office and remote work.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Supervisor, Recruitment, you will be responsible for seeing recruitment activities through from beginning to end and work with the hiring manager to successfully attract quality applicants by:
  • Creating engaging job ads that are tailored to the top talent your searching for
  • Posting ads to relevant/strategic job sites
  • Sourcing resumes through various channels
  • Constructing purposeful interview guides
  • Participate in interviews directly with project and hiring managers
  • Leverage social media as a key strategic recruitment tool
  • Act as a consultant to hiring managers on labour market trends and best practices
  • Participate and lead strategic recruitment initiatives
  • Source for top talent using database searching, job postings/searching, social media and industry networking for a variety of niche positions.
  • Proactively create and maintain a current and up to date candidate pipeline.
  • Promote AMA, highlighting the many perks of working here, including being able to speak to AMA's total rewards.
  • Liaise with the Supervisor, Recruitment to support the development and implementation of talent acquisition strategies and candidate marketing programs.
  • Staying current on new and innovative recruitment methods and technology.
  • Lead recruitment initiatives from research to implementation.
  • Review interview guides to ensure the questions fit with AMA's culture.
  • Be a specialist and reference point for our Applicant Tracking System.
  • Help create and build recruitment tools for AMA Hiring Managers, ensuring consistency in the recruitment process.
  • Attend third-party career fairs and events to share the AMA employment experience with potential candidates.
  • Research talent acquisition trends in the staffing industry.
