About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Contracting Support Specialist to join our team at Enbridge. As a key member of our Contracting team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Industrial Market Development (IMD) Sales team with contract-related questions and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise IMD Sales team on contract-related matters, requiring in-depth knowledge of rate schedules and internal policies.
  • Review and ensure compliance of Distribution and Direct Purchase contracts prior to delivery to customers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal guidelines.
  • Assist the Team Lead in coordinating the Contracting and Compliance group's work to ensure timely completion of high-priority tasks.
  • Develop non-standard distribution contracts, working with multiple groups to identify risks and ensure compliance.
  • Lead or assist with projects related to the IMD contract market, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Respond to intensified contracting and compliance inquiries from Large Volume customers and Account Managers.
  • Provide guidance and support to Contract Support and Compliance Clerks.
  • Create and maintain department process and policy documents.
  • Liaise with TIS on Contract Business Systems.
Requirements
  • Related university degree or diploma, e.g. in Business/Math, and minimum of four or more years of experience OR equivalent combination of formal education, certification, and experience.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite) and familiarity with database concepts, query tools, and general business applications.
  • Ability to perform multiple work assignments at varying stages of completion with a high degree of accuracy while working to tight time constraints and changing priorities.
  • Broad understanding of or ability to quickly learn the direct purchase and distribution contracting business to apply strong analytical, investigative, and reporting skills to resolve issues within the confines of the regulated business environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others and negotiate.
  • Strong professionalism, communication, collaboration, time management, and organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision and get results on your own.
  • Proficient in writing business communication to external clients and customers.
  • Strong understanding of the Natural Gas industry.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative, initiate, and manage change.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good customer and vendor relationships.
Preferred Skills
  • Understanding of contract administration, customer billing, and/or financial systems.
  • Understanding of Entrac, ECM, SAP CIS, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Word.
  • Understanding of Large Volume Contract language and rates.
  • Demonstrated front-line customer service/contact experience.
  • Experience in the natural gas and/or utilities market.
