OMERS Legal Operations Team: A Dynamic Role for Contract Professionals

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist to join our OMERS Legal Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Vice President, Legal in managing the Legal Operations function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and negotiate contracts to ensure alignment with internal requirements
  • Create and maintain contract templates to streamline the contracting process
  • Validate contract data to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Manage enterprise third-party risk to protect OMERS' interests
  • Collaborate with business leads and the procurement team to ensure contracts meet internal requirements
  • Maintain the Contract Lifecycle Management Platform to ensure efficient contract management
  • Partner with team members to improve contract management efficiency and support various Legal Operations projects
Requirements:
  • Strong contract drafting and review experience
  • Minimum 8 years of contracting experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to draw insights and convey ideas clearly and concisely
  • Self-starter who works both independently and with a team, fostering a collegial and creative team culture
  • Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management platforms, iManage, and/or HighQ
