About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Police Services Auxiliary Coordinator at the City of Kelowna. This role is responsible for supporting Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Operations, serving as a liaison with E-Division RCMP Headquarters, and managing the RCMP Auxiliary Program in Kelowna Detachment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Human Resources: Manage staffing, wellness, and training coordination for Auxiliary Constables. Conduct annual performance evaluations, manage personnel records, and support the Auxiliary Code of Conduct.
  • Onboarding & Training: Ensure new Auxiliary Constables meet recruitment standards, manage training compliance, and maintain training records.
  • Uniform, Equipment & Budget: Manage uniforms, equipment, and RCMP smartcards for Auxiliary Constables, and oversee an operating budget of $20,000.
  • Communications: Prepare reports, statistical data, and manage non-enforcement community policing activities.
Requirements
  • Significant operational police experience in a leadership position.
  • Extensive knowledge of the RCMP organization, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently, multitask, and maintain confidentiality.
