About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team at Parkland Clayton Park in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In this role, you will assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meals, while also collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized Resident Care Plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with hygiene and daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, oral care, skin care, meals, and mobilizing according to work assignment.
  • Collaborate with the resident and other members of the interdisciplinary team in the development of individualized Resident Care Plans.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of resident leisure activities on a daily basis.
  • Assist with light housekeeping duties.
  • Perform delegated nursing acts according to company policy and scope of practice.
  • Communicate and report relevant information regarding resident care or safety to Supervisor.
What We Offer

In addition to a competitive salary, $42,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental benefits, as well as opportunities for growth and development. Requirements
  • A valid Continuing Care Certification or Provincial Personal Care Worker course or equivalent.
  • Registration in Nova Scotia's CCA registry as per the Continuing Care Assistants Registry Act.
  • The ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening.
  • Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment an asset.
  • Valid CPR & First Aid Certification preferred.
