Job Description

The Station Design Package Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the technical quality of the station design development process for the Ontario Line South project. This individual will be responsible for leading technical proposals, writing technical and contractual documentation, and conceptualizing and developing technical packets related to the station design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical proposals and develop technical and contractual documentation for the station design.
  • Support the Design Manager in the development and implementation of the Design Management Plan for the project.
  • Lead the station design development and manage high-performance design teams and designers responsible for the Detailed Design.
  • Ensure the station design complies with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Promote value engineering opportunities throughout the design process and contribute to identifying and developing new technical opportunities and optimizations.
  • Manage processes related to the project's design to ensure timely delivery, working closely with estimators, quantity surveyors, site managers, and other key project team members.
  • Responsible for design submissions to the Client and resolving comments received from them related to the station design.
  • Provide technical support to the construction team to develop construction means and methods for the stations.
  • Drive technical excellence by creating an environment of learning and innovation that attracts and develops top talent reflective of the diversity of our clients.

Qualifications:

  • Civil Engineer
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license in the province of work preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, including similar positions in major urban infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of design principles for underground structures and geotechnical engineering
  • Proficiency in the use of standard Microsoft Office products and design software
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English
