Job Description

The Station Design Package Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the technical quality of the design development process for the Ontario Line South project. This individual will be responsible for leading technical proposals, writing technical and contractual documentation, and conceptualizing and developing technical packets related to the stations design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to design consultants and ensure that the stations design meets the required technical standards.
  • Design Development: Lead the design development process for the stations, ensuring that all design elements are properly coordinated and integrated.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that the stations design complies with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Value Engineering: Identify and develop value engineering opportunities throughout the design process to optimize the stations design.
  • Project Management: Manage processes related to the project's design to ensure that everything is delivered to schedule, working closely with estimators, quantity surveyors, site managers, and other key members of the project team.
  • Client Communication: Provide design submissions to the client and resolve any comments or concerns related to the stations design.
  • Construction Support: Provide technical support to the construction team to develop the construction means and methods for the stations.
  • Leadership and Development: Drive and inspire technical excellence by creating an environment of learning and innovation that attracts and develops the best talent reflective of the diversity of our clients.

Qualifications:

  • Civil Engineer
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license in the province of work preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in similar positions in major urban infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of design principles for underground structures and geotechnical engineering
  • Proficiency in the use of standard Microsoft Office products and design software
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English
