Job Title: Brain Injury Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Brain Injury Rehabilitation Specialist to join our Community Support Services team in Newmarket, Ontario.

About the Role:

This is a full-time permanent position that requires a strong understanding of brain injury rehabilitation and a passion for supporting individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement programs designed to enhance the efficiency and safe delivery of Community Support Services to clients with Brain Injury.
  • Work collaboratively with the Rehab Service Coordinator in completing daily report writing, incident reports, Individual Rehabilitation Plan, and quarterly reporting.
  • Act as a resource to staff and families in the provision of long-term support and service coordination for complex or catastrophic cases.
  • Provide cognitive and compensatory strategies that support functional goal setting.
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of experience in the Social Services/Health Sector, coordinating services for individuals with Brain Injury.
  • Concrete knowledge of the effects of an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) is an asset; training will be provided.
  • Community-based experience working with individuals with a Brain Injury, physical disabilities, or special needs.
  • General understanding of computer hardware and software.
