Program Director Job Description

As a Program Director at StarFish Medical, you will lead a multi-million-dollar portfolio developing medical devices with the potential to revolutionize patient care on behalf of our esteemed clients.

You will have an engineering degree and over 15 years of experience managing a similar portfolio of complex electro-mechanical device development, including effectively leading teams and clients through these challenges to make a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow the StarFish portfolio by identifying customer needs, matching these with compelling proposals, and successfully securing sales.
  • Lead, develop, motivate, and mentor exceptionally talented program managers, project managers, project analysts, and other support staff.
  • Steer programs through the entire lifecycle, including managing the baseline and navigating inevitable change.
  • Initiate and oversee project issue resolution development and recovery as needed.
  • Accountable for the overall program and project management process, including contracts, program organization, resourcing, plan development, scope management, and risk mitigation.
  • Contribute to developing processes, procedures, and training material and deploy training to other staff members.

Requirements:

  • At least 15 years of relevant experience managing similar complex electro-mechanical device development portfolios.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical, product, and commercial messages to various audiences.
  • Knowledge of medical device development in an ISO 13485 or other regulated industry is an asset.
  • Consulting experience is an asset.
