Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Lead to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will oversee all human resource functions, including policy management, recruitment, labor relations, legal compliance, organizational development, technical training, and health and safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement high-level HR concepts and tools (Core Competencies, Career Development processes, etc.)
  2. Promote and champion the HR vision, mandate, and strategies within the overall business plan
  3. Coach and advise management and employees on personnel activities
  4. Ensure effective deployment of corporate policies and procedures
  5. Design and execute effective recruitment practices and function as a key player in the recruitment and hiring of staff
  6. Foster employee morale and enable the organization to increase its capacity for change
  7. Identify and ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements and government regulations
  8. Coordinate corporate organizational development programs
  9. Manage technical training activities across operations
  10. Implement controls and metrics to manage costs
Performance Deliverables
  1. Develop a consistent labour policy across all manufacturing plants
  2. Prepare (with the CEO's support) and present to the Executive Team an HR strategic plan that clearly identifies key priorities
  3. Cultivate knowledge of the company's business and industry to contextualize HR activities

Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  2. 5-10 years of broad-based and progressive experience in a general human resources leadership role in industrial environments
  3. Ability to communicate in French is a definite asset
  4. Demonstrated success in leading a strategic HR function
  5. Proven leadership and management skills with knowledge of current industry best practices
  6. Able to grow the HR function as required and work effectively in a fast-paced culture
