$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

The Account Receivables Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate client account information, communicating with clients to provide current account status, and supporting the Operations and Leasing team in providing necessary information for client relationships. This is a bilingual role that requires proficiency in both English and French.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accounts receivable as per company objective standards by ensuring timely collection of all rents.
  • Work with Legal to provide information for tenants in legal status, including those in default, litigation, and bankruptcy.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of negligent accounts by preparing various accounts receivable reports and letters.
  • Prepare monthly analysis of outstanding rent to ensure company objectives have been met.
  • Maintain accounts receivable comment reports up-to-date by categorizing outstanding amounts by type.
  • Maintain rent roll and associated charges in finance systems as per lease agreements.
  • Process client billings, rental notices, and parking income through finance systems.
  • Review, verify, and accurately input lease information, prepare correspondence, and liaise with clients to develop good working relationships.
  • Respond to client inquiries by reviewing leases and billings for discrepancies.
  • Input monthly sales and follow up on missing sales information.
  • Support the implementation of new platforms and systems enhancements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and French (required).
  • College or university degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business, or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum years' experience in an accounting or billing position.
  • Experience in Real Estate and/or Property Management.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, leases, and related documentation.
