Undisclosed seeks a seasoned professional to support the credit risk and underwriting functions.

The ideal candidate would be well-versed in complex deal structuring, annual review oversight, financial auditing, and investor relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of underwriters, providing performance feedback, mentoring, and skill development.
  • Contribute to the organization's strategic direction by developing and implementing Risk Management strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Review commitment letters, credit presentations, and funding checklists for accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in credit committee discussions to ensure effective risk identification and mitigation.
  • Ensure policies and procedures align with regulatory requirements and updates.
  • Provide feedback to Origination and Analyst teams on evolving credit requirements and common themes.
  • Conduct due diligence on loan applications, analyzing borrower profiles, financial data, and asset value.
  • Interact with clients and perform site visits to support thorough underwriting and funding processes.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of deal flow with a low error rate.
  • Stay informed about market trends and commercial mortgage developments.
  • Network within the industry through meetings, events, and involvement in professional organizations.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in mortgages, specifically in commercial underwriting.
  • Regulatory experience preferred.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements ensures operations and procedures are aligned with internal and external standards.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving results through innovation and critical thinking.
