Investment Consulting Role Overview

Aon is seeking an experienced investment consulting professional to join our team as an Associate Partner, Investment Consulting. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Montreal office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution and delivery of investment consulting services to our largest institutional clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing proactive and innovative support.
  • Collaborate with regional leaders and support associates and analysts in the team.
  • Mentor junior colleagues on specific client types or unique investment issues.
  • Drive marketing activities to develop new investment consulting relationships.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of direct experience in a financial/investment consulting environment.
  • Experience working with institutional clients, handling a block of clients and client teams.
  • Proven problem-solving, analytical decision-making, and skills in developing solutions for complex clients/business issues.
  • Able to understand short-term/long-term client needs and identify business development opportunities.
  • Embraces creative spirit in work, recognizing and capitalizing on opportunities to help grow and expand the organization.
  • Establishes self as a trusted leader/advisor, demonstrating strong client-facing skills.
  • Detail and results-orientated, able to work independently on diverse projects and balance multiple priorities.
  • Technical expertise and proven track record to remain current concerning investment industry trends and policies.
  • Planning and organizational skills, effectively coordinating project delivery and advisory services.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or Commerce, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Dedication to professional development, with completion of an MBA or CFA preferred.
