Regional Business Development Specialist

Salary and BenefitsThe estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, prescription drug, and EAP benefits after 30 days of employment.
Job DescriptionAs a Regional Business Development Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to drive sales growth and profitability across your territory. You will:
- Constantly seek opportunities for growth and development with new and existing customers;
- Be responsible for the profitability of your overall territory, maximizing tools provided by Gordon Food Service to exceed customer expectations of service, quality, and partnership;
- Act as a business partner to customer accounts, focusing on helping customers increase their business and providing menu solutions as needed;
- Promote new products and marketplace trends to new and existing customers;
- Review territory reports to evaluate progress and sales volume, tracking budgets and business plans, and identifying product line targets for accounts;
- Liaise with your District Sales Manager (DSM) to ensure consistency of customer contracts and opportunities to increase business through selling to the contract;
You will also collaborate with various departments, including Customer Support Center, Marketing, Warehouse, Transportation, and Credit Department, to ensure customer satisfaction with all products and services.
Requirements and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- At least 3 years of experience in food services sales and management;
- Experience with sales and proven skills in negotiation;
- The ability to take initiative and drive results;
- The ability to multitask and work well under pressure;
- Excellent customer service and self-driven skills;
- Collaborative and dynamic skills to work in pressured environments;
- Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, or Marketing is an asset.
