The estimated salary for this position is CAD $41.42 - $55.91 per hour. This is a competitive compensation package that reflects the skills and experience required for this role.
We are currently looking for a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Combined Medical-Surgical Nursing unit at qathet General Hospital (formerly Powell River General Hospital) in Powell River, BC. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating client care
- Participating in discharge planning, advocating for clients, and educating them on health promotion and wellness
- Enhancing quality of life from the client's perspective
- Documenting care provided and responding to incidents according to established policies and procedures
- Collaborating with other healthcare providers and maintaining clinical competence
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Demonstrated ability in nursing practice related to designated client groups
- Ability to develop and implement care plans, adjust to unexpected events, problem-solve, set priorities, and deal with conflict
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team
