Salary InformationThe estimated salary for this position is between $41.42/Hr. and $55.91/Hr., CAD.
Job DescriptionAs a Critical Care Nurse in our Intensive Care Unit at qathet General Hospital in Powell River, BC, you will be responsible for providing emergency nursing care to clients/patients of all ages presenting with a wide variety of symptoms within an uncontrolled environment. You will also provide care to critically ill patients/clients with unpredictable outcomes attached to life-support equipment, and/or clients in post-anaesthetic recovery.
- Provide emergency nursing care to clients/patients of all ages.
- Assess client responses to care and respond appropriately.
- Manage trauma in an emergency setting.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of a recognized critical care nursing program or completion of a recognized advanced program in emergency care nursing.
- Two (2) years' recent, related experience.
