About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Services Manager to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to multi-disciplinary teams within a patient-centred, Collaborative Practice Model for patient care units.

Working collaboratively and consultatively with patients/clients, families, management, staff, physicians, community partners, and service providers, you will apply strategic and analytical thinking to address challenges and achieve the ultimate goal of high quality, safe, and cost-effective services to better support patient experience/outcome.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a health-related discipline, current registration with an applicable college related to health degree, and a minimum of 5 years recent clinical experience in a position included in this portfolio. Additionally, they will have a minimum of 5 years recent experience in a leadership and/or management position with responsibilities related to program planning, evaluation, human resource and financial management within a unionized environment.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills, with the ability to successfully change, adapt, overcome, and cope with unexpected challenges. They will also have demonstrated proficiency in program planning, financial and human resource management, oral and written communication, and interpersonal effectiveness.

We offer a competitive salary range of $45.45 - $60.39 hourly, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
