About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Trades Assistant to join our team at First Call Construction. As a key member of our crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by removing rubble and debris, and cleaning and piling salvaged materials.
  • Concrete and Asphalt Work: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Traffic Control: Direct traffic at or near construction sites to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Supporting the Team: Provide assistance to the medical examiner in charge and other team members as needed.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in a variety of weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 30-35 hours per week.
