About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Trades Assistant to join our team at First Call Construction. As a key member of our crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by removing rubble and debris, and cleaning up salvaged materials.
  • Task Execution: Perform tasks such as mixing, pouring, and spreading materials like concrete and asphalt under the supervision of experienced tradespeople.
  • Support Services: Provide support to medical examiners and other personnel as needed.
  • Site Safety: Assist in maintaining a safe working environment by directing traffic and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Work Environment

As a Construction Trades Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in a variety of settings, including construction sites and potentially remote locations.

Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork skills to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
