Job Description
We're seeking a highly motivated Labourer - Maintenance and Operations Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you'll be responsible for ensuring the overall safety and appearance of our facilities.
Estimated Salary:
$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
Your Role
- Pick up bands and lumber wrappers in the yard
- Sweep and rake debris in the yard
- Level off lumber piles in the yard
- Participate in the drywall carry-in service on various job sites
- Act as a driver's helper when needed
- Assist with warehouse duties, including shrink-wrapping product, manual restocking, and general clean-up
- Assist the Sawyer as directed, stacking lumber as it comes off the saw
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Good attitude and strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Physically resilient: ability to bend, lift, and carry heavy and awkward products, work in a yard and unheated warehouse environment, routinely exposed to extreme temperatures and weather conditions
