Job Title: Education Manager

The Assiniboine Park Conservancy is seeking an experienced Education Manager to lead the development and implementation of a park-wide progressive and integrated Education & Programming strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development and implementation of education programs, including community and revenue-generating programs.
  • Lead the education and summer programs teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables and program timelines.
  • Partner with Indigenous groups and communities to fulfill programming commitments under the TRC's calls to action and the Winnipeg Indigenous Accord.
  • Support diversity & inclusion strategies by establishing connections and fostering strong relationships with diverse community organizations.
  • Collaborate with the broader APC team to develop and implement education programs, including Guided School and Group Programs and Tours, Self-Guided Programs, APC Camps, and Pre-school programs.
Requirements:
  • Related Education: Bachelor's degree in Education/Pedagogy, Business Administration, Cultural Studies, Recreation Management.
  • Experience in programming with a proven understanding of Indigenous culture, history, perspectives, knowledges, methodologies, and cultural practices.
  • 3 years of budgeting, business development, and financial reporting, including grant writing and strategic planning.
  • Experience engaging and collaborating with Indigenous communities, including Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and other community members.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skill, and experience with educational program planning, cultural activities, facilitation, consultation, and engaging program development.
