Job Summary

The Assiniboine Park Conservancy seeks a highly skilled and experienced Education Manager to lead the development and implementation of a park-wide progressive and integrated Education & Programming strategy. This role will oversee the development and implementation of educational programs, including guided school and group programs, self-guided programs, and community engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive education strategy that aligns with the Conservancy's mission and goals
  • Oversee the development and implementation of educational programs, including curriculum design, program planning, and facilitation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of education programs with other Conservancy initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, including Indigenous communities, to develop and deliver culturally relevant and inclusive education programs
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure effective delivery of education programs
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in education program development and implementation
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering culturally relevant and inclusive education programs
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and knowledge of Indigenous cultures and histories
  • Strong project management and budgeting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
