Job Description

At Alight, we are committed to providing exceptional support to our employees and clients. As a Disability Case Manager, you will play a vital role in assisting employees who are off work or at risk of being off work due to health reasons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough case assessments, gathering information from employees and their direct managers to understand the situation and identify potential barriers to a successful return to work.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address these barriers, working closely with stakeholders to ensure a seamless return to work or alternative plan.
  • Provide proactive communication with the employer's HR representative, ensuring that any case management issues are addressed promptly.
  • Manage the transition to LTD, providing medical and summary case management information to the insurer to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Attend team meetings and participate in other projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Disability Case Management (STD, LTD, RTW) or equivalent combination of experience and specialized education.
  • University degree in a related field, with additional coursework in occupational health, rehabilitation, legislation related to disability management, and helping relationship skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and helping skills, with superior assessment and problem-solving skills.
  • French/English language skills are an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks under tight deadlines.
