Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Officer to join our team at PAPYRUS PAPER PLUS TRADING INC. This exciting opportunity will see you work closely with our management team to identify staffing needs, provide employee support, and drive recruitment initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Identifying current and prospective staffing requirements;
- Providing employee assistance and counselling;
- Preparing and posting job notices and advertisements;
- Collecting and screening applicants;
- Advising job applicants on employment opportunities;
- Reviewing candidate inventories and recommending suitable candidates;
- Contacting potential applicants and coordinating selection processes;
- Recruiting graduates and other candidates through targeted hiring initiatives;
- Coordinating selection and examination boards;
- Notifying applicants of their status;
- Advising managers and employees on human resources matters;
- Organizing staff consultations and negotiations;
- Determining entitlements and arranging staff training;
- Recruiting and hiring staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong organizational and time management abilities;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Knowledge of MS Windows, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word software;
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask;
- Efficient problem-solving and conflict resolution skills;
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to change;
- Certification in HR or related field (an asset).
This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Salary InformationWe offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and professional development opportunities.
