At SEGULA Technologies, we are seeking a highly skilled Electrification Validation Engineer to join our team.

 

We estimate the salary for this role to be in the range of $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Job Description:

The Electrification Validation Engineer will be responsible for developing and validating Electrified Powertrain High Voltage Safety features across various vehicle platforms.

 

This role requires strong technical expertise in real-time systems, hardware, and software, as well as knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Validation (DV) and Optimization:
    • Develop and optimize subsystem-level design validation plans (DVP).
    • Perform DV on HV features and strategies on system benches and in vehicles.
  • Validation Results Analysis and Issue Resolution:
    • Analyze validation results and engage relevant team members on issue resolution.
  • High Voltage System Development:
    • Develop HV system development properties: Subsystem bucks, tools, procedures.
  • Reporting and Tracking:
    • Prepare the validation report.
    • Track and submit validation issues on relevant tracking tools.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Support compliance testing activities.
    • Contribute to lessons learned and process optimization.
Requirements:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Applied Physics, Systems, or Computer Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Knowledge of product engineering design and development, with emphasis on systems and product development.
    • Understanding of real-time systems, hardware, and software.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Able to coordinate activities with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Education:
    • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience:
    • Hands-on work experience with high voltage systems/components.
    • Familiarity with HV safety features, including isolation, interlock loop, and equipotential bonding.
