Senior Validation Engineer

As a Senior Validation Engineer at Textron, you will be responsible for providing expertise and technological know-how within the organization. This role involves knowledge of legal requirements in the field of activity and specifications in the field of activity, including the creation of generic test standards and specifications in alignment with internal core functions, OEM, and suppliers.
Key responsibilities include analyzing OEM SOWs for automotive components, supporting the definition of DVP, evaluating and interpreting test results, and defining counter measures. You will also be responsible for creating professional test reports, defining test procedures, equipment, work instructions, and training measures for tests in the field of profession, and calculating test and validation costs.
Additionally, you will drive the OEM's buy-in to follow generic development and validation tests if reasonable. This role requires test planning and set up, coordination, execution, evaluation, and documentation of validation and development tests for automotive products.
Qualifications for this role include a university degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or equivalent, testing and validation experience, good communication skills, and the ability to lead projects and work in a team environment.
The ideal candidate should have professional knowledge about EV Battery, Fuel Tank, and/or ADAS Cleaning systems, and experience in one of the following fields: complex mechatronic systems, ideally automotive, design and CAE Analysis of EV Enclosures, Fuel Tanks, and/or Fixtures, data acquisition and measurement technology, and good programming skills.
Willingness to travel is also required for customer visits, test drives, supplier development, and exchange with other validation teams.
