Automotive Repair and Service Shop Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Repair and Service Shop Supervisor to join our team at 2447911 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our automotive technicians, motor vehicle mechanics, apprentices, and labourers.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and lead a team of 3-4 people, including automotive technicians, motor vehicle mechanics, apprentices, and labourers.
- Provide guidance, support, and technical advice to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Operations Management
- Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
- Estimate costs and materials required for projects and ensure that they are within budget.
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Health and Safety
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed and that the work environment is safe and healthy for all employees.
- Recruitment and Staffing
- Recruit and hire new employees as needed to support the growth and development of the team.
- Performance Management
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members to ensure that they are meeting their job expectations and contributing to the success of the team.
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the automotive repair and service industry.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring the highest quality of work. The work environment is dynamic and requires the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
