Automotive Repair and Service Shop Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Repair and Service Shop Supervisor to join our team at 2447911 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our automotive repair shop, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our shop runs efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise a team of 3-4 employees, including automotive technicians, motor vehicle mechanics, apprentices, and labourers.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure that team members are working effectively and efficiently.
- Operations Management
- Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure that work is completed on time and to a high standard.
- Estimate costs and materials required for projects and ensure that they are ordered and delivered in a timely manner.
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Customer Service
- Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
- Health and Safety
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed and that the work environment is safe and healthy.
- Recruitment and Training
- Recruit and hire new employees as needed.
- Provide training and development opportunities to ensure that employees have the skills and knowledge required to perform their jobs effectively.
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role in an automotive repair shop.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a team.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work under pressure. The work environment will be physically demanding and will require the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
