Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of automotive technicians, motor vehicle mechanics, apprentices, and labourers to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Estimate costs and materials, and ensure that all work is completed within budget and to the required standards.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, and that a safe working environment is maintained.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory role in the automotive repair industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with tight deadlines, and in a fast-paced environment.
