Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement and Logistics Specialist to join our team at Bouygues Energies et Services - Equans.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various procurement matters, including cost reductions and the request for proposal process in Canada and the United States. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement policies, methods, and objectives established by the Purchasing Department.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent, and minimum of five years of relevant experience in procurement, contract and cost management, logistics, or consulting. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, is also essential.

A valid passport and proficiency in spoken and written French and advanced English are required. Experience in managing the request for proposal process and project management is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the request for proposal (RFP) process from preparation to contract signing for construction projects or other services;
  • Negotiate with suppliers the pricing of services and products as well as the contracts;
  • Conduct comparative cost analyses between contracts;
  • Produce activity reports and work on key performance indicators;
  • Apply group policies and procedures and participate in the improvement and communication of procurement processes within the organization;
  • Implement action plans to deliver the strategic plan of the purchasing department (savings and added value);
  • Collaborate with the procurement teams of the various entities within the Equans Group to deploy business solutions and common purchasing projects;
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent;
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in procurement, contract and cost management, logistics, or consulting;
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel;
  • Valid passport;
  • Knowledge of the real estate maintenance and construction sector (an asset);
  • Experience in managing the request for proposal process and project management;
  • Proficient in spoken and written French and advanced in spoken and written English;
