Sales Director

Hotel Equities, a leading hospitality management company, is seeking a seasoned Director of Sales to join our team at the 98-room Tru by Hilton Oshawa Ontario.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue for the hotel, developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, and executing sales and marketing strategies to maximize profitability. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients to produce group business, including room sales, F&B sales, and catering/banquet services.
- Attending networking events, developing and maintaining good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups, companies, and trade organizations, and attending local and out-of-town meetings and conventions to generate sales for the hotel.
- Conducting site tours and maintaining a customer database.
- Developing contracts and following up with customers.
- Developing and managing the departmental budget and monitoring sales activity and performance to ensure sales meet or exceed the established profit plan and accurately report variances/projections to management.
We are looking for an experienced Director of Sales with 5+ years of hotel sales experience, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals. You should have experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt sales processes and systems, and be proficient in CI/TY, FOSSE & MARSHA. You should also be a well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently, with excellent communication and analytical skills.
