Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled leader to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring seamless food preparation and service delivery. As a Food Service Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, and managing food safety protocols.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train team members. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are also essential for success in this role.

About the Role

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate must be available to work varying shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $43,500 per year, as well as opportunities for career growth and professional development.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure efficient food preparation and service delivery
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage food supplies
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Train staff in food preparation, handling, and presentation techniques
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a fast-paced food service environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and multitask
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
