Job Title: Field Operations Manager

At Svante, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our field activities, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest possible standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct a team of Operators and Technicians across several sites, ensuring that all field operations are running smoothly and safely.
  • Develop and implement effective cost management activities, including target-setting, budgeting, forecasting, variance explanations, and identifying efficiency opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams on the review and development of project documents, including DBMs, Controls Strategy, Commissioning Plans, Test Plans, HAZOP, MOC, JAH, SOP, and coordination of field resources.
  • Work closely with operators and other support groups to ensure key objectives are prioritized and effectively implemented in accordance with Svante's corporate strategies.
  • Develop and implement a maintenance plan to maximize plant on-stream factor and ensure accurate and high integrity data generated by the plant.
  • Support the implementation and sustainment of major programs, including ERP, Asset Management and Reliability, Emergency Management, and Training.
  • Generate reports and analyze data related to field operations, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum years of leadership experience in directing teams and developing strategies.
  • Completed post-secondary education (university/college) in engineering/technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Safety certification, including First Aid, HS Alive, WHMIS, Basic Firefighting (company will provide training if needed).
  • Power engineer ticket/certificate of same level, meeting requirements of the facility.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills (Process/Electrical/Instrumentation/Controls).
  • Proven track record in delivering results on schedule, quality, and budget.
  • Valid driver's license and transportation to site.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as Process Operator.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
