Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Excavations Superintendent to join our team at GBA Demolition & Excavating Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing excavation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and efficiency on excavation sites
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure projects are completed on time
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and maintain a safe working environment
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and deadlines
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements
  • Recommend personnel actions and requisition materials and supplies as needed
  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure they are completed to the highest standard
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure workers have the necessary skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Basic security clearance
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Team player with a strong work ethic
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a dusty and noisy environment, requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as hard hats and steel-toed safety boots.
