Job Title: Excavation Site Supervisor

Big Dig Excavating Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Excavation Site Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the excavation process, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of excavation teams, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement effective excavation plans, taking into account site conditions, weather, and other factors.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and procurement, to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage and maintain equipment, ensuring that it is in good working condition and that maintenance schedules are adhered to.
  • Develop and implement training programs for excavation team members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in excavation operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
